this activity, you will practice skills necessary for navigating the Cisco IOS,

command.

In
this activity, you will perform basic switch configurations. You will secure
access to the command-line interface (CLI) and console ports using encrypted
and plain text passwords. You will also learn how to configure messages for
users logging into the switch. These banners are also used to warn unauthorized
users that access is prohibited.

Background
In this
activity, you will use various show
commands to display the current state of the router. You will then use the Addressing Table to configure router Ethernet interfaces.

The routers in this activity are partially configured. Some of the
configurations are not covered in this course, but are provided to assist you
in using verification commands
